Do not put statements in the negative form.

And don't start sentences with a conjunction.

If you reread your work, you will find on rereading that a great deal of repetition can be avoided by rereading and editing.

Never use a long word when a diminutive
one will do.

Unqualified superlatives are the worst of all.

De-accession euphemisms.

If any word is improper at the end of a sentence, a linking verb is.

Avoid trendy locutions that sound flaky.

Last, but not least, avoid cliches like the plague.

Final Draft Editing & Copy Writing expertly reviews your original copy including professional or academic papers, technical reports, newsletters, brochures, informational publications, grant proposals, resumes and correspondence, college admission essays, creative endeavors, and more. We check for grammar, punctuation, and spelling and also review verb tense, logical flow, word choice, sentence structure, and readability.

Copy Writing

Final Draft Editing & Copy Writing delivers lively, interesting, and grammatically correct original copy for websites, newsletters, informational brochures, and other publications. We specialize in helping small businesses, government agencies, and organizations communicate with their clients in a friendly and informative manner.

Even great writers make mistakes. Final Draft Editing & Copy Writing can help you catch typos and grammatical errors by providing a second set of eyes for all of your reports and publications. The proofreading option is a quick review of spelling and punctuation, but provides little attention to word choice and order, flow, logic, and readability. (You may get some of the latter when I just can't help myself, but generally, it's a fast review.) This is a less comprehensive, but lower cost option than editing and may be desired when you are confident in your writing ability, but want a fresh set of eyes to check the nuts and bolts.

Resumes & Cover Letters

Getting in the door for an interview is the hardest part of applying for a job! Final Draft Editing & Copy Writing can assist you with writing, organizing, and formatting your resume and cover letters. We are familiar with many styles of resume and cover letter writing, as well as current trends in hiring, and can help identify and highlight your unique skills and qualifications to give potential employers an optimal first impression. On more than one occasion, our clients reported landing the very first job to which they applied after making our suggested changes to their application materials. We think that's a great endorsement!

College Entrance Essays

The college application process can be both exciting and maybe a bit nerve-racking. College entrance requirements are more competitive than ever, and often, the key to admissions is a thoughtful, well organized, and well written essay. Final Draft Editing & Copy Writing has assisted numerous college applicants with their essays and we are happy to report that 100% of these clients were admitted to the college(s) of their choice. Of course, hard work, good grades, extracurricular activities, and other qualifications certainly helped. But we like to think that we played an important part in several young adults' successful results.

Social Media

Depending on the specific needs of your company, Final Draft Editing & Copy Writing can write and manage posts to your Facebook, Twitter, or other social media accounts and can also write and post regular blog entries.

Note: Please do not contact Final Draft Editing & Copy Writing to write academic or professional papers in your name either for a grade or for submission to a journal. We know there are plenty of folks out there who will do this unethical work for you, but it's just not our cup of tea.

We are happy to provide review and editing services for your original work.
